The El Val neighbourhood, in the north of Alcalá de Henares, holds its weekly market every Tuesday on Avenida Virgen del Val. One of the city's most family-dense districts, the market reflects everyday neighbourhood life: seasonal produce, affordable clothing and the odd footwear or general-goods stall. Together with the Monday market in Nueva Alcalá, it covers much of the week for Alcalá's outer neighbourhoods. Usual hours: 9:00 to 14:00.
